About J Heise
Born 1980 Dec. 6th in Mesa Arizona. Jerid Heise was introduced to the world on his fathers birthday. At 6 years old his parents moved to Roseville, Ca. A growing suburb with a bay area influence. Many families had moved to Roseville and sacrificed the commute for a cheaper mortgage with more space. It was here Jerid would discover the art of break dancing. By junior high he had found himself performing at different venues and events to display his craft. From listening and dancing to music like Micheal Jackson since he was 3 it was obvious Jerid had found who he was.
This love for the Hip Hop culture continued to be his focus. It was a way of life for him and his circle of friends changing the way they dressed and spoke from everyone else on campus. At first only joking around with freestyle rap with friends on campus, it wasn't until his sophmore year in highschool that J would convert his skills on the floor for a voice on the microphone. J Heise went on to mentor several other kids from the neighborhood. His most proud moment was when one of his under studies Dominic D-Trix Sandoval made the cut for the t.v. show "So You Think You Can Dance" . D-Trix continues to excel his career with other shows such as “America’s Best Dance Crew” as a contestant as well as a judge. Jerid was successful in throwing freestyle contest in his home town that attracted hundreds of Hip Hop and rap artist from all over the area eventually gaining a following for the event. Amongst the contestants was a M.C. by the name of Zodiac The Mac. After Zodiac won several battles in a row him and Jerid teamed up and began rapping together. The two of them went on to form the rap/RnB group Stak City with other members KashStar, J Main and Boi (D.J. Daniels from the hit sitcom "The Hughleys" . Stak City opened up for big names such as E-40 and Mac-10. Performing live with Hip Hop legend KRS ONE at a nightclub in down town Sacramento. After playing Stak City's first single "Fitted Cap" during the ‘Future Flava Show” on KSFM 102.5 Sacramento's leading Station for Hip Hop and R 'n' B the phone lines went crazy. Fan after fan called in requesting the song to play over and asking were they could purchase the hit. Heise’s latetst hit “Mr Officer” featured B-Legit from The Click.
